We all know by now that exercise and fitness are important lifestyle investments for a healthy and lengthy life, but the gym is not always suitable for a lot of people. PowerActive is a Personal Training and Kettlebell Instruction company located near Wisbech on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire borders, our aim is to provide fitness sessions away from a gym environment, either in your own surroundings or at our fully equipped studio introducing clients to a whole range of training aids to make a difference to their health and fitness. Many people would like to be fitter, but just do not know how to start or are not fans of gym environments for various reasons. Every effort is made to empower you to continue training independently by giving you the knowledge along with guidance, encouragement and, most importantly, motivation, to keep going and get the results you want. You will see how easy it is to develop a regular routine of progressive exercises in the comfort of your own surroundings. Personal training with PowerActive aims to tailor sessions to your needs taking into account your likes and dislikes, so you achieve the results that you want. Typically, if you are looking to lose weight then the emphasis will be cardio vascular work, those wishing to tone up will involve more resistance exercises, alternatively, people wanting all round fitness can expect a combination of both. Progress is monitored by regular fitness tests and anatomical measurements along with the progression of exercises.
If you have never heard of kettlebells, you are not alone. Although this piece of strength training equipment has been around for decades, only recently has it caught mainstream attention. Kettlebells are canon ball shaped cast iron weights with a looped handle on top. They range in weight from 8kg to 48kg (The Beast), commonly used in Eastern Europe and now they are taking off in the West. The reason being is that it gets back to basic training that requires functional, whole body fitness. Kettlebells require focus on whole-body conditioning because lifting and controlling Kettlebells forces the entire body, and specifically the core muscles, to contract as a group, building both strength and stability at the same time. Kettlebell workouts engage multiple muscle groups at once. In this way, they are a great option for getting a whole body workout in a short time.
